Hi Lovelies!
So I wanted to talk to you all about SKIN!
Now that spring has arrived I'm sure we all want to emerge from the heavy winter foundations! With that being said I want to give you all a few tips on how to achieve fresh spring skin! Follow these tips and in no time you will start to notice a healthy glow in your skin!
EXFOLIATE:
For glowy skin we all should exfoliate at least 2-3 times a week. I know with a hectic work week who has time to remember to exfoliate weekly huh..?? THIS GIRL! and so should you! exfolitaing is crucial for the removal of dead skin cells, dry skin and deep cleansing of the pores! Trust me it is soooo worth it in the long run! I have combination to oily skin plus I'm acne-prone and since I started exfoliating, every Thursday and Sunday, my skin has definitely become softer and has more of a glow, plus no flakes of dead skin which means a better base for applying foundation!
The current facial scrub that I use is the one listed below which works wonders! and smells DELISH!
HYDRATE:
I know you guys have heard this over and over again, but its true! WATER! Our bodies need it! Trust me, I haven't always been a fan of it. I've tried flavored water, lime and lemon and I just have never liked the taste of it. weird? maybe, but its true. Until my skin started to become excessively dry, dull and even a little limp. I came across an article saying how water is essential for good health, which we all know already! And also how a good moisturizer will just not cut it for brighter and tighter skin. Since I started to increase my water intake my skin has done a 360! Its brighter! I myself drink about 10-13 cups of water daily. For women though the typical amount is roughly 9 cups per day.
MOISTURIZE:
Hydrating and moisturizing play hand in hand in achieving a radiant complexion! I know how hard it is to find a good moisturizer. the bottom line is everyone has different skin types with different needs! For me since I am combination skin and acne-prone, therefore I have always been advised to use serums, light weight moisturizers that are OIL FREE which always no matter what leave my skin dry and flaky which is never good. So I did the unthinkable for having the skin type that I have and I tried a moisturizer that is not listed oil free and my skin hasn't been the same ever since. So when you find that moisturizer that fits to your skin like a glove, never let it go! We all need a good moisturizer to seal in the hydration. Your skin will look and feel smooth and nourished!
This is my HOLY GRAIL! The best part about it is you can find it at any drugstore! Its about $11.99
SUN PROTECTION:
Last but Definitely not least! The most important of them all, SPF! If you don't protect your skin from the sun the problems that you are trying to fix will return. I am currently using a SPF 50 every single day under my makeup. You should also protect the more delicate skin, like around your eyes if your out in the sun for long periods of time by wearing a hat or sun glasses.
The SPF that I am currently using is this one here and it so far doesn't leave my face greasy. My sister did give me this so I'm not exactly sure on the price I looked around and seen it for about $14.99
To add to these 4 easy tips my current facial routine has played an important role in the difference in my skin. When I changed my entire skin care routine (about 7 weeks ago) I seen almost immediate results. Nothing has ever worked for me so drastically and in such a short period of time until these products
Good luck to all you beauties! I really do hope that this helps out in anyway!
Talk to you soon
XoXo!
-Mel
